Our Story

A family run business with integrity at its core

In 2008, Dean and Esther Hyde (Directors) purchased Men at Work Limited. They have run the business as owner operators ever since; fast forward to 2023, with five locations to where it now stands at 125 staff strong.

 

Since 2017, our head office has been in the Belfast Business Park in Christchurch, this purpose-built facility is perfect for our growing requirements.

We have created a positive and caring culture within our business and we make a positive impact on the community. Dean Hyde is a business leader who has always shown much empathy towards his staff and has placed great importance on creating opportunity and sharing the positive outcomes that the business has created over the last 15 years.

Men at Work is in the business of people safety and has a rich history of delivering market leading Temporary Traffic Management Solutions. Men at Work ensures people working on site are kept safe and the travelling public get where they want to go with minimal possible interruption.

Men at Work is an acknowledged specialist in Temporary Traffic Management, often referred to as the standard to be measured by, having won numerous service excellent and safety awards. Men at Work now has a specialized TTM Planning & Consultancy Team who have expert knowledge to design any Traffic Management Plan and help with approval of plans from the Local Roading Authorities

Community Focus

Caring for our staff and community

Men at Work has supported numerous events in the community. Tying in with our values and staff and client interests, Men at Work has a sponsorship committee who consider requests for donations, sponsorship, and marketing opportunities.

Traffic Management can be a costly addition to community events run by volunteers. Men at Work collaborate with organisers to help keep the cost of the events affordable and sustainable

We have supported local Christmas Festivities and Parades for the last ten years as well as many sporting events and clubs, groups, schools.

 

We donate monthly to a number of charities including I am Hope, Barnardoes and Life Education Trust.
