Professional and Safe Event Traffic Management
Men at Work have over 12 years of experience in Event Traffic Management.
We have a dedicated National Events Manager and all the resource available to run the Traffic Management efficiently.
We have successfully delivered Traffic Management for the Christchurch Marathon for the 5th year. The planning for this event starts 6 months prior. We collaborate with the Local Roading Authority (CTOC) and the Events Team. The Christchurch Marathon had over 4,000 participants in 2021. The course required 54 road closures throughout the city therefore the Traffic Management needs to be planned out carefully.
Other events successfully delivered, some at very short notice, have been the celebration parades for the Rugby World Cup, American Cup and the memorial services in Christchurch.
We provided traffic management for the opening of the World Cup Cricket in 2015 and the games played at the North Hagley Park Oval in Christchurch.
We also look after Christmas in the Park and many of the other events organised in Hagley Park and throughout the region held every summer.
In 2017 we successfully delivered Traffic Management for the New Zealand Defence Force at the Ohakea 85th Anniversary Air Show in Palmerston North.
Men at Work have been involved with large Film Companies providing Traffic Management for film sets and working with the Local Council to close roads for filming.

Cricket World Cup 2015
As hosts of the Cricket World Cup, the eyes of the world were on Christchurch in February 2015. A global audience of 2 billion watched the televised opening ceremony, and if they’d looked very closely, they would have seen the hundreds of orange cones and our staff hard at work in the background!
